You’re invited to join us at the Academy on Thursday, August 17th for a very special “Acting Through Song” workshop with Broadway Star, PAUL NOLAN. This musical theatre performance workshop offers one-on-one coaching in a group setting of a full song or audition cut, in any musical style with a live accompanist for 12 students only. There is also opportunity to audit the workshop if you would love to hear Paul’s advice but don’t want to sing.

Cost is $75 to sing (12 students max) and $25 to audit. No audition is required. Minimum age to participate is 14 years old.

Paul Alexander Nolan, originally from Rouleau, Saskatchewan has led nine Broadway productions. He was most recently seen as Hugh Dorsey opposite Ben Platt in Parade. Prior to that, he played Jim in the most TONY-nominated play in Broadway history, Slave Play. For his Broadway performances he’s been recognized by the Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Awards. 

His Broadway debut was as Jesus in the revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, followed by Guy in the Tony Award-winning musical, Once. Subsequent New York roles include Pasha/Strelnikov in Doctor Zhivago, Jervis in Daddy Long Legs, Jimmy Ray in Bright Star, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Tully in Escape to Margaritaville, Jim in Slave Play and Hugh Dorsey in Parade. TV credits include “The Code”, “Madam Secretary” and “Instinct” for CBS.
