The “Drayton Entertainment Teacher of Excellence Award” has been created to recognize an outstanding secondary school educator who has demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and passion in the field of arts education. Nominations will be made by student members of the High School Project by essay submission.
We invite personal testimonials that include a demonstration of methods that inspire, innovate, and engage with the community, resulting in life skills that lead to positive generational change. The submissions will be reviewed by a jury of arts educators to determine the winner, who will be honoured at the opening night performance of the High School Project on September 11, 2025 at the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge.
The major sponsors of the High School Project are Brad Carr and Susan Wagler of West Montrose, in honour of Brad’s high school drama teacher, Mr. Gord Davis of Elmira District Secondary School. This recognition of the lasting impact teachers can make in our lives prompted the creation of this special award.
Submissions are due by August 29, 2025.
