Broadway Blockbusters Boot Camp
Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20
Learn FOUR production numbers from mega-hit Broadway shows. Performers will receive practical insight into how big musical numbers are rehearsed and performed while they work with professional artists to produce a showcase of hit Broadway songs and scenes. Building on the fundamentals of singing, acting, and movement, students will develop an understanding of reading sheet music, vocal production, choreography and creating dynamic characters within the ensemble. The Final Showcase will be presented on Friday, March 20. In addition, students will attend Master Classes with industry professionals in workshops such as Stage Combat, Audition Technique and On Camera Acting.

Pre-Professional Triple Threat Intensive
This auditioned intensive program will select 25 pre-college and college students who are serious about pursuing a career in the performing arts. Students will work with highly skilled, working industry professionals to learn four song and dance production numbers in addition to participating in Virtual Broadway Mentor Q&A’s and special in-person workshops such as acting through song, monologue performance, audition technique, agent relations, improv, theatrical intimacy, and more.

This auditioned intensive program is a one-week summer training program that will select 16 intermediate to advanced-level singers, aged 15-23, who are ready to take their vocal performance to the next level. Acting (All Levels)
Individuals of all skill levels are welcome to enroll in Scripted Acting. In this class, students will explore character development through text analysis, working with age- and level-appropriate monologues selected from a diverse range of published plays.
The Drama Company
We welcome advanced acting students wishing to gain practical insight into how plays are rehearsed and performed by working with a professional director to produce an in-studio presentation of excerpts of plays.
Advanced acting teens are welcome to audition by submitting a self-tape of two contrasting monologues under 2 minutes each. In this Pre-Professional Production Program, performers will hone acting, leadership, and teamwork skills while making friends and having fun.
This group will present an in-studio presentation at the end of the session.

Yes, and….!” This dynamic class invites actors of all levels to explore the art of improvisation through non-scripted storytelling, drama-based games, and spontaneity. The Improv Company is an advanced-level training program designed for dedicated teen performers looking to deepen their improvisation skills through weekly rehearsals and performances. Students will train in short-form and long-form improv, character work, team collaboration, and quick thinking, preparing them to perform in showcases and potentially compete in improv festivals or tournaments.

Our Family Musical Theatre class is designed for the WHOLE FAMILY to sing, dance and have fun! This brand new, intergenerational, community-minded class is for budding musical theatre performers of any age and experience level. Participants will work as an ensemble to learn music and choreography to a wide range of musical production numbers from Broadway shows. Building on the fundamentals of singing, dancing, and acting, students will develop an understanding of choreography, reading sheet music, vocal production, and creating dynamic characters within the ensemble, all within a safe and judgement-free environment.
Broadway Beat With Chad Drop-In Classes

Broadway Beat With Chad is your weekly dose of sweat, style, and serious Broadway vibes! Each class dives into a different musical or choreographic style—from old-school showbiz classics to today’s biggest stage hits. One week it’s sharp Fosse jazz, the next it’s can-can kicks or full-out theatre jazz—no two weeks are the same! You’ll build technique, boost musicality, and bring your performance game to the next level, all while dancing hard and having a blast. Come ready to move, sweat, and have some serious fun living your best Broadway life!
Technical Theatre
Ages 14+
Discover the artistry and craftsmanship that bring theatre productions to life in this hands-on technical theatre class! Through three immersive units, participants will gain practical skills in Props Making, Scenic Paint, and Wardrobe and Costumes —essential elements of stage production. This course is designed with flexibility in mind, offering participants the option to purchase individual units or commit to the full 12-week session, which includes all three units.

Audition Preparation for the Singing Actor Workshop
Ages 17+
Led by Drayton Entertainment’s Artistic Director, David Connolly, this dynamic, three-hour workshop offers a supportive and focused environment where participants will sharpen their audition pieces, and gain insight into the audition process.
Throughout the workshop, participants will:
- Receive personalized, one-on-one coaching in a group setting
- Work with a live accompanist/music director and professional director
- Explore script and score analysis to deepen character understanding
- Develop physical awareness and gesture work to enhance performance
- Learn strategies to manage performance anxiety and stay grounded in auditions
- Balance healthy vocal technique with emotional authenticity and specificity
Students should bring an audition cut (under two minutes) of a song in any genre. Sheet music should be in the correct key, hole punched, and double-sided in a binder.

On Monday, November 17, the Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy is thrilled to welcome special guest instructors Nina and Nancy from 3Dz Studio for a high-energy K-Pop PD Day designed for students ages 8 – 11 and 12 – 16! From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, this full-day experience is packed with K-Pop-inspired fun, including singing, dancing, and a variety of creative activities.
Participants will learn music, choreography, and performance techniques from their favourite K-Pop movies, plus enjoy some lunchtime fun with karaoke! The day will wrap up with an end-of-day performance where students can show off their new skills to family and friends.
