Summer Camps

Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy’s Summer Camps give young performers a chance to have fun, meet new friends and gain skills while learning about blockbuster musical theatre shows! Attendees in each of our three age categories, Kids (8-10), Youth (11-13) and Teens (14-18), will build on the fundamentals of singing, acting and movement by learning production numbers, solos, scenes and monologues from a different, age-appropriate musical each week throughout the summer. All of that plus improv theatre games, crafts and making new friends who love musical theatre as much as you do! AND we have an exciting “Introduction to Production” week also planned for teens who want to know more about making behind-the-scenes magic.

Camps will run from 9:00am-4:00pm with complimentary early drop off at 8:30am and late pick up until 4:30pm. Tuition is $395.00/week. FAMILY DISCOUNT: 10% discount for each additional member of the immediate family from the same household. FREQUENCY DISCOUNT: 5% discount on weekly tuition when you register for 3 weeks or more. EARLY BIRD OFFER: Those who register before April 15 will be invited to attend the final dress rehearsal of a Drayton Entertainment Musical in Summer 2022.

March Break Camps

In Person (kids, youth, teens)

Calling all theatre fans ages 9 to 18! Join us for five days of triple threat training; learning FOUR productions numbers from Disney on Broadway (9-11yo) or Broadway Blockbusters (12-18yo). Our March Break Broadway Boot Camp is designed to cultivate community, encourage leadership, ignite imagination, and boost confidence, while providing aspiring young performers with the opportunity to learn from professional theatre artists and develop a deeper appreciation for live performance. All students will receive a Broadway Boot Camp T-shirt!

Birthday Parties

Celebrate your birthday with us by starring in a Broadway Musical Production Number! You and your BFFs will spend your party with a director/choreographer who will teach you the music and choreography to a production number and direct you all in a scene from the show! All participants will get to take home the sheet music and scene! The birthday child and up to 11 friends will spend the first hour playing theatre games, acting, dancing and singing! Then, enjoy the show-themed décor while the guest of honour opens their presents and hosts an “insta-famous” photoshoot in front of our glittering Broadway birthday backdrop wall.

This environment is free of judgment and full of love. Thank you for always pushing us and reminding us how important, valued and powerful we all are.

I can’t thank you enough for the courage, independence and kindness you help to instil in my kids.

Although my Dad never spoke of it to Evan or me, he was a little hesitant with the dance stuff and then theatre stuff… but then he came out of the Panto that Evan was in crying, so happy that Evan had found a place where he felt like he belonged.

As parents we got to ride this high with our son. We got to see him, for the first time, totally come into himself, for the first time, pure happiness. Something changed, he has changed….thank you.

This was the most amazing theatre experience I’ve had to date, and I’ve had a LOT! It’s the first time I’ve felt like I really belonged because you made such an inclusive environment.

Thank you! She walked away with more confidence about body image, an even deeper love of everything “theatre” and huge love and respect for her community!

The patience David shows to the children is perfect! As a teacher I recognize that this man was made to work with kids!! The way he speaks to kids makes them believe they can do anything!!!

This is where I want to be. I get to learn from Broadway performers who are performing at a theatre right next door but more importantly, I’ve made lifelong friends. Even the audition process is awesome. Drayton has helped me grow not only as a performer, but as a person.

My son has done lots of programs and I think he felt the most at home here. The children and staff were the most inclusive of any I’ve encountered.

Each and every day he arrived at Huron Country Playhouse, he knew he was stepping into a place where his passions and dreams were going to be honoured, respected and encouraged.

The staff involved had an incredible ability to push the kids outside of their comfort zones to try new things and take risks. Most of all, they were able to teach kids to embrace differences and that it’s okay to be different.
