March Break Boot Camp

Join us this March Break for five days of singing, acting and movement.

Ages: 8 – 16
Location: Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge (46 Grand Ave S, Cambridge)
Date: Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 
Cost: $425 + HST

10% discount for each additional immediate family member(s) from the same household.

Learn FOUR production numbers from mega-hit Broadway shows. Performers will receive practical insight into how big musical numbers are rehearsed and performed while they work with professional artists to produce a showcase of hit Broadway songs and scenes. Building on the fundamentals of singing, acting, and movement, students will develop an understanding of reading sheet music, vocal production, choreography and creating dynamic characters within the ensemble. The Final Showcase will be presented on Friday, March 20 at 3:00 p.m. In addition, students will attend Master Classes with industry professionals in workshops such as Stage Combat, Audition Technique and On Camera Acting.

A typical day:
9:00am-10:15am First Class
10:15am-10:30am Break
10:30am-12:00pm Second Class
12:00pm-12:45pm Lunch
12:45pm-2:15pm Third Class
2:15pm-2:30pm Break
2:30pm-4:00pm Fourth Class

Complimentary supervised drop off available at 8:30 a.m. and pick-up until 4:30 p.m. 
Please plan to bring water and a packed lunch.

Madison Hayes-Crook

Madison is so thrilled to join Drayton for their March Break camp this spring! Madison is a Toronto based actor and arts educator.  Favourite credits include: Cinderella in Disenchanted (1st NA tour/ Broadway in Chicago); 9-5 The MusicalSleeping Beauty- The Panto (Capitol Theatre Port Hope); Priscilla Queen of the Desert, 9-5 (Stage West Calgary), Florinda in Into the Woods, Rose in Rose’s Clothes (Thousand Islands Playhouse); BittergirlAmerican IdiotSpelling Bee and Honkey Tonk Laundry (Stephenville Theatre Festival). Favourite film/tv credits include, Handmaids Tale (Hulu) Ghosts (CBS) and The Bridge (Camedora Pictures). Outside of her work on stage and screen Madison just completed her Master’s at the University of Wales studying Vocal Pedagogy and Performance Anxiety and runs a private voice and piano studio for students of all ages.
